We currently have a great new opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital based in York.

Main duties of the job

The Catering Assistant will be responsible for the service of all food and drink to the patients on the wards including managing dietary requirements. Additional tasks will consist of the washing of cutlery and dishes, replenishing our hot drinks machines and explaining the daily menus across all meals.

Catering Assistant Location: Clifton Park TC, York Hours: hours per week, Full-time Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits Summary: Clifton Park Hospital opened in 2006 and is located just outside York. The modern purpose built hospital has been rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has first-class medical facilities including 24 beds, two theatres, a day case unit, a large outpatient department with X-ray facilities and on-site physiotherapy, including a small gym area. In 2018, the hospital opened a new outpatient department with 11 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms and x-ray facilities. The role: We currently have a great new opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital based in York. As a Catering Assistant you will be part of the hospitality team who ensure the preparation and delivery of a food and beverage service to patients. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for the service of all food and drink to the patients on the wards including managing dietary requirements. Additional tasks will consist of the washing of cutlery and dishes, replenishing our hot drinks machines and explaining the daily menus across all meals. You will be part of a team of Catering Assistants who are fundamental in ensuring that all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner and that standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital are in line with our policies. Ideally you will have Catering Assistant experience, but training will be given. Previous experience of a customer facing role Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Ability to work on your own as well as in a team.
