Team Leader at Thurnscoe House

Team Leader required to work at our Residential Special School 'Thurnscoe House and Studios' which has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

Working 37 hours per week, term time only.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 14:1- 22:15

Tuesday 09:00 - 17:00 and

Fridays 7am however, times may vary due to the needs of the service and admin responsibilities.


You will be required to work six weekends per year and four weeks of the school holidays in line with our flexi boarding service.

Any additional hours will be paid as remuneration. You will also be required to attend all inset days.


Due to the development of Thurnscoe House and Studios we require an experienced Team Leader to work alongside the Senior Support Workers to ensure staff are providing the highest level of support and care to the children who access the service.

We require someone with some managerial experience who is honest, reliable and not afraid to challenge when required.


The post requires the Team Leader to offer a supervisory role to Senior staff and Support Workers as well as monitoring practice, report writing and administering medication.

The Team Leader will also be allocated an area of responsibility within the service which will be discussed at interview.

The Team Leader must have a relevant level 3 Diploma in childcare or equivalent.
