What we need:

GS2 partnership are working with a leading food and drink manufacturing located in Cumbria, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in their operations.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team for a 6-month contract.

What you will do:

  • Oversee and manage all health and safety protocols within the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety best practices.
  • Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety within the workplace.

What you will need:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (we will also consider candidates with a NEBOSH General Certificate).
  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety Manager role within a manufacturing, engineering, or similar background.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
