They are currently looking for a passionate Infrastructure and Systems Manager who will be managing and developing core ICT infrastructure and systemsby making sure that they are secure and scalable to meet organisational requirements.


Your new role:

  • Ensure that ICT infrastructure is secure to be effectively delivered.
  • Making sure that ICT infrastructure and systems are protected by cybersecurity threats.
  • Immediately take action to remediate and resolve technical, performance or security related incidents or alerts.
  • Lead on the planning and development of ICT infrastructure and ICT systems to support present and future organisation's requirements.
  • Control all modifications to ICT infrastructure and systems that take place in a coordinated manner.
  • Lead on all activities and actions relating to relevant technical and regulatory requirements around cybersecurity specifically Cyber-Essentials and NHS Data-Security and Protection Toolkit.
  • Deliver technical expertise, advice and manage the technical aspects of system upgrade or implementation projects.
  • Manage a small infrastructure team (Being main point of contact for all ICT infrastructure related questions and escalated issues).
  • Closely collaborate with key stakeholders on the development and maintenance of relevant business systems ensuring that infrastructure is appropriate for present and future requirements.
  • Take part in routine management activities e.g., recruitment, objective setting/supervision, team meetings and administration.
  • Act as a deputy for the Director of ICT as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

Essentials:

  • Professional/technical qualification or equivalent knowledge gained from experience.
  • Level 5 qualification in management/leadership.
  • ITIL service management.
  • Good strategic, practical, and procedural knowledge of ICT infrastructure (SD-WAN, firewalls, and associated networking technologies
  • Azure, exchange, Office 365 etc).
  • Experience in managing cybersecurity incidents and setting up security controls (Cybersecurity technologies/solutions (AV, EDR, MFA)
  • Device management/compliance (MDM, MAM).
  • Experience in demonstrating good situational awareness (Being able to sport issues and able to analyse and respond to a dynamic situation).
  • Knowledge of HR practices and principles in relation to line management responsibilities.
  • Able to provide flexibilities in terms of work and/or work time requirements.
