We are looking for Bank Support Workers to work in our community services in Hertfordshire. We have services are based in Hemel Hempstead, and outreach services in Stevenage and St Albans. You'll be working with autistic adults and their families in one of the variety of homely supported living environments, outreach services. Most of the services we provide are based in Hemel Hempstead where we support 4 autistic adults 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also have Outreach services based in St Albans and Stevenage offering day shifts between 10am and 4pm where support staff engage with adults who have been diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's in activities including cooking, days out, baking, walks, crafts etc.

You will be supporting autistic men and women in their everyday lives and enabling them to be independent, engage with activities in the community that they have chosen so they achieve their goals, wishes, and aspirations through encouragement, prompting, praise and empathy.

Your role includes:

  • Helping individuals achieve independence and personal goals
  • Supporting and transporting individuals to integrate into their community
  • Develop individuals' life skills, vocational, educational and creative skills
  • Help provide exercise, leisure and recreational opportunities
  • Transforming lives and achieving results for Autistic Adults


Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people if not, we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat most out there.

The service operates a
seven-day rota, which includes weekends and bank holidays.
The services operate in
Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage and St Albans.
