This opportunity is for a Class 1 HGV Driver. The role involves tramping, walking floor, and wood chip transportation, with training included. You will kick off from various sites like Widnes, Rotherham, or Pollington, and you will be compensated for travel between locations.


Rapid Time Recruit Limited, representing an Employment Business, is currently hiring skilled Class 1 HGV tramping drivers for our client in Widnes - Halton, with potential for a permanent position.


Role of a Class 1 HGV Driver:

  • Tramping - Wood Chip - Walking floor
  • Starting times 05:00 – 07:00 DAYS
  • 5 Shifts per week Monday – Friday (occasional weekends available)
  • Walking floor. (Training provided)
  • 2-4 drops
  • Average 12–13-hour shifts
Class 1 HGV drivers must undergo induction and assessment before starting. Full training will be provided for the walking floor aspect. Work might start from Rotherham or Widnes.

Class 1 HGV drivers requirements:

  • Valid UK HGV licence for 12 months or more.
  • At least 6 months of prior HGV driving experience.
  • Digital tachograph card CPC card.
  • Professional and presentable demeanor.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Less than 6 points on the license.
  • No IN10, DR10, DG10, CD10 or TT99 endorsements.
