We are now looking to recruit a
Senior Electronics Engineer (Design & Production) to join our multidisciplinary team as we bring to market and seek to manufacture, distribute and support a novel family of products.

Senior Electronics Engineer -The Role:

  • You will be responsible for helping to improve the design and test a new generation of innovative products.
  • You will help design, prototype and assist both internal and external resources to meet agreed specifications whilst maintaining a commercial awareness.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of the testing and production implementation of the instruments, from confirming concepts to submission of technical drawings through to manufacturing control.
  • You will be required to produce and follow project and product documentation to ISO13485 and be able to adopt a handson approach as and when the project requires.
  • A 'cando' attitude and ability to 'get the job done' is critical.
  • Experience in PCB design and troubleshooting, microcontroller firmware understanding and interface/communications to Windows based UI would be distinct advantages.
  • You will take responsibility for the full product lifecycle: from early concepts and prototypes to production.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Use of Altium and other designated electronic/electrical design packages as required carrying out the design function from concept through to full production.
  • Managing the interface to other disciplines within the Company and also external contractors.
  • Creative problemsolving skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Possess strong allround electronic design experience, including designing for manufacture, component selections, testing of system, Microcontroller firmware (ST Micro)
  • Project management resource for all Electronic based Projects within the Company. Manage and oversee that the agreed schedules are implemented and monitored.
  • Any other tasks as deemed necessary to carry out the Job Function

Project based:

  • Liaising with line manager and helping to devise technical direction to subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, to specification and within agreed budgets.
  • Providing technical support in hardware, from ideas stage through to preproduction, testing and transfer to production (design for manufacture is key).

Engineering Support:

  • Routine customer service support as and when required. To include office and fieldbased activities, to provide direct and link engineering support for company products.
  • Any office support as and when required e.g., software support.
  • Assembly/Production of the range of products, this will include production and inventory planning and scheduling to demand.
  • Control of Gantt for the delivery of schedules.
  • Documentation and records to ISO 13485 and other required Quality/Regulatory Standards as deemed necessary.

  • At least 2 years Electronics Engineering experience
