Job Summary

A Food Teacher plays a vital role in educating students on various aspects of food, nutrition, and culinary skills, going beyond teaching cooking to cover health, culture, and science.

Responsibilities of a Food Teacher:

  • Lead engaging and interactive lessons to spark students' interest in food and cooking, empowering them to unleash their culinary creativity.
  • Guide students through cooking sessions, promoting teamwork, experimentation, and skill enhancement.
  • Educate students on nutrition and healthy eating habits, helping them understand the link between food choices and well-being.
  • Utilize innovative teaching approaches to make learning enjoyable and exciting, integrating technology into the kitchen and organizing culinary competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification
  • A passion for food, cooking, and nutrition
  • Previous experience working with students in an educational environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dedication to creating a positive learning environment
