We are seeking to recruit a Band 8a Occupational Therapy Professional Lead to join our fantastic multi-disciplinary teams within the hospital to provide assessment, risk management, care and treatment to aid recovery and further the patient journey.

As Occupational Therapy Professional Lead, you will:

Be a highly specialist Occupational Therapist with significant clinical and professional experienceProvide leadership and management for the OT service at WathwoodProvide an in-depth understanding of OT impact across multiple clinical care streams within a team or care unitBe responsible for oversight of professional and strategic planning to utilise resources as appropriate

  • Recent experience of developing and managing an Occupational Therapy Service
  • Extensive Post Graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist in mental health.

  • Evidence of effective liaison with other agencies, services and professional colleagues
  • Evidence of recruitment and retention of staff
  • Experience of undertaking clinical audit
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Evidence of producing reports
  • Evidence of independently undertaking evidence-based practice
  • Basic IT skills
