About the role

  • Purpose of the Role

As the Head of Business Sales at Upp, you will play a key role in driving our business sales growth, heading up a team of Business Development Managers.

We have ambitious growth objectives for our Business function, your primary focus will be to develop and implement strategic sales plans, identify new business opportunities, and foster strong relationships with our business customers.

With your leadership and expertise, you will guide the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to our mission of providing cutting-edge broadband solutions to businesses in our region.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
As the Head of Business Sales, your responsibilities will include:

Sales Strategy:
Developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand our business customer base and achieve revenue targets.

Team Leadership:

Managing and motivating a team of Business Development Managers to excel in their sales efforts and deliver exceptional results.


Business Development:

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and engaging with key decision-makers in potential within business that result in business or consumer sales.


Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing business clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service.

Sales Performance:
Monitoring and analysing sales performance, implementing corrective actions as needed, and driving continuous improvement.

Market Insights:
Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.

Collaboration:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and operational team, to align sales efforts with company objectives.

Sales Reporting:
Preparing regular sales reports and updates for senior management, providing insights on performance and opportunities

Key Requirements

  • To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

Sales Leadership:
Proven experience in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.

Business Sales Expertise:
Demonstrated success in Business sales, with a track record of winning and retaining key accounts.

Strategic Thinking:
A strategic mindset, capable of developing and executing sales plans to drive rapid business growth.

Customer-Focused:
A strong customer focus with the ability to build long-lasting relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

Analytical Ability:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilising data to inform sales decisions and strategies.

Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the telecommunications industry and broadband services is advantageous.

Leadership Impact:
A positive and empowering leadership style, inspiring the team to achieve success and growth.
