Location:
Newbury

Fusion People is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to start immediately on a site in Newbury. The Electrical Engineer will report to the Section Engineer or manager and will be in charge of all setting out activities on-site.

  • Setting out on-site using various methods for different types of work such as drainage, earthworks, roadworks, and more.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and provide support when needed.
  • Maintain a detailed daily diary of on-site activities.
  • Ensure quality standards are met by completing check sheets in line with ITP's.
  • Conduct safety and workplace inspections and issue permits as necessary.
  • Perform CAT & Genny surveys before excavation work begins.
  • Attend site meetings regarding the program, safety, and work areas.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, subcontractors, the public, and the Client.
  • Conduct site surveys and create sketches of survey work and construction sequences.
Training / Competency Requirements:
  • CSCS card related to appointment.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the civil engineering industry.
  • CAT & Genny training (optional).
  • 1st Aid certification (optional).
  • Safety Critical Medical certification (optional).
  • Laptop (optional).
  • AutoCAD knowledge (optional).
Typical Working Hours:
  • Mon - Fri until 18.00hrs.
  • Sat & Sun - only if needed for road closures or specific works with advance notice.
