What you'll do...

  • Recruitment, training, induction, performance management, welfare arrangements, disciplinary procedures and health and safety requirements of your team as required.
  • Carry out competency assessments and monitoring of the drivers and trainee drivers to maximise performance and engagement.
  • Ensure that team members are fit for duty.
  • Responsible for briefings of drivers and trainees drivers.
  • Ensure that all accidents/incidents are reported, investigated and managed and that appropriate follow up action is taken

What you'll need...

  • A good working knowledge of UK & EU Driver's Hours Regulations
  • Management CPC qualification desirable or willing to work towards
  • Experience of managing and motivating a diverse team to deliver excellent standards of performance
  • The ability to handle complex employee processes such as ill health/welfare procedures,disciplinarys, grievances and accident investigations
  • Confident in working with financial indicators
  • PCV licence desirable
