1. WHY THE POST EXISTS

:


As the Chamber's Employment Services department works toward meeting the challenges and demands of the Government's Work and Health Programmes, we are searching for a Skills Trainder who will inspire and motivate people to improve their lives and enter or return to meaningful work.


2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

:

  • The attraction, registration and progression of participants to achieve key targets and sustainable employment through the use of techniques including effective diagnosis, signposting individual and group coaching.
  • Deliver services both in fixed locations, colocation sites and where appropriate within community venues, to ensure our services are accessible to all.
  • Work to and achieve strict targets set by their line manager (in line with contract requirements).
  • Help participants identify their barriers and achieve a better lifestyle for themselves by pushing and promoting the benefits of being in paid work (which includes apprenticeships and selfemployment opportunities).

3. IDEALLY APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS

:

  • Meeting with jobseekers, identifying challenges and barriers to finding employment and changing mindsets.
  • Creating schemes of work and delivering a variety of courses and 1:1 support to suit participant needs.
  • The key to your success in this role is to demonstrate the ability to build rapport, show empathy, motivate people and influence their perception of working.
