About the Position:
Come join our team as a skilled and experienced HGV Technician in Sherburn. We are experts in maintaining fleet vehicles such as transits, sprinters, and various other LCVs. Your main tasks will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles including trucks and vans. To succeed in this role, you need a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and the ability to utilize diagnostic tools and software to tackle complex issues. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems spanning engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting intricate problems
  • Maintain detailed records of work done and parts used
  • Interact with customers regarding vehicle concerns and repair suggestions
  • Ensure a tidy and systematic work environment
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and repair methodologies

Requirements for an HGV Technician:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a vehicle technician
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software usage
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service aptitude
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
