Job Description Role- Mechanical Design Engineer
Type- Permanent

My client is a specialist manufacturer working on a range of products in many sectors, They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
~ BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
~3 or more years' of industry experience working in similar Mechanical or Hydraulic Design role
~ Excellent proficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks or similar
~ Proven ability to drive Engineering development
~ Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
~ Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc.
~ The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Leading client projects to convert ideas into designs
Perform development activities and find new mechanical solutions
Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
Modelling, analysis and the development of mechanisms
Involved in building and developing prototypes
Conducting design reviews
