**Main Responsibilities of the HR Manager
- Ensure employees have an available source of confidential advice and understanding. Provide assistance.
- Manage complex employee relations cases including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
- Advise managers and share best practice with them.
- Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance.
- Source and support learning and development opportunities.
- Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.
- Maintain payroll records and keep accounts appraised of any changes.
- Develop recruitment and selection strategies.
- Carry out new starter on boarding process
- Manage talent and succession planning.
- Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
- Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
- Support change management processes.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
- Updating and maintaining the HR Information system data records of personnelrelated data (payroll, personal information, leavers, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Previous experience from manufacturing/engineering industry.
- CIPD Level 5 as a minimum (preferred)
- Proven working experience as HR manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Knowledge of employment law and HR Best Practice
