You will be working for an established Financial Services business based in the Medway area of Kent. The client is looking for a Financial Analyst with excellent data manipulation and statistical background working on financial models. The client will lookat fully established analysts from a financial services background or recent graduates with 12 months+ experience.


The key purpose of this role is to be responsible for operating technical processes associated with the Group Accounting Models.

The organisation offer Hybrid working options of 3 days in the office and 2 WFH.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and maintain the Group Accounting Models to produce model outputs for use in monthly accounting processes in line with End User Computing control environment, adhering to strict timelines.
  • Ensure that the models are up to date with assumptions approved business wide.
  • Fully understand the mechanics and calculations used within the models, being able to amend and manipulate when required, ensuring they observe accounting framework and financial policies as and when they are updated.
  • Collation and validation of model input data
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of model outputs.
  • Produce quantitative analysis and written narrative on model outputs for use in business wide MI reporting packs and monthly P&L and Balance Sheet updates, paying close attention to detail of outputs.
  • Assist with the production of quarterly CPR reviews, using the accounting models outputs for analysis to provide support for assumption changes.
  • Assist with mandatory stress testing scenarios and other P&L impact analysis.
  • Take a SME supporting role in the wider Accounts Modelling team, upholding good communication with your line manager and the wider function.
  • Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

  • Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory online training modules and attestations
You will need

  • Previous experience of working within a reporting function with financial models is essential.
  • Experience of working and analysing data is essential.
  • Experience of working within the financial services industry or a finance function is essential.
  • Excellent numerical skills with good verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels in an organisation is essential.
  • Degree (preferably in a numerical/financial discipline) and/or part qualified accounting qualification (i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
