Impact Mentoring offers a range of services to schools, local authorities and private clients, which includes one-to-one, group and family mentoring services, on-site and off-site support, re-engagement with learning programs, pick-up and drop-off services and holiday clubs.


The role.

This is an excellent opportunity as a second job for College / University Students who are looking for a part-time and flexible job.


We are looking for inspiring individuals with diverse skills and interests that will engage young people and help them realise their potential.


As a Youth Mentor, Tutor and Support Worker, you will be a trusted and professional adult that supports children and young people to achieve their potential.

Impact Mentoring supports young people to maintain their place in, or reengage with, education, employment and training. We also help individuals explore new opportunities and experiences and build their self-confidence, aspirations and resilience.


As a Youth Mentor you will take responsibility for one-to-one mentoring sessions or activities, which helps young people move towards achieving the goals set by the agencies who are referring them.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To put the safeguarding and wellbeing of the young people you work with at the heart of your work at all times. This includes the absolute responsibility for communicating safeguarding concerns promptly
  • Attending at least 6 hours of induction training in order to reach the standards and expertise required to carry out the role this will be in at the Bristol HQ
  • Completing initial online training including Prevent training, ACES training and Level 2 safeguarding training
  • Planning thoughtful and appropriate sessions, which link to the personal goals of mentees
  • Communicating with relevant agencies to register the attendance of mentees to your sessions
  • Accurately logging sessions
  • To be available for cover during scheduled sessions which have been cancelled
  • To act professionally and contribute to the reputation of Impact Mentoring by adhering to the Mentor Code of Conduct
  • To communicate to parents and carers the day before a session.
  • To continue to learn, study and keep abreast of any training made available to develop yourself professionally as an expert mentor.
Pay is between £ £20 per hour. Please also note that we provide one-to-one learning programs and tuition services.

  • Mileage is claimed through an annual selfassessment return to HMRC if selfemployed
  • Fuel and mileage scheme in place for contracted employees
  • Additionally, £3 per hour worked mentoring expenses which can be reclaimed monthly.
