Yorkshire Coast Recruitment is excited to be working with an agricultural company-based outskirts of York. An excellent opportunity has become available for a Weighbridge Administrator with previous experience in an agricultural/production/manufacturing sector.


We are looking for an experienced administrator with exceptional organisational skills, who can maintain accurate and detailed records and is spreadsheet competent.


Due to site location, your own method of transport is required.


The main purpose of the role is to provide effective and efficient weighbridge operation for the site, whilst also delivering key administration tasks.


Key Responsibilities & Main Duties of the Weighbridge Administrator will include:

  • Ensure the company procedures are undertaken at all times and appropriate paperwork is available for all incoming and outbound material
  • Efficiently input data onto the weighbridge from vehicles collecting and delivering to the site
  • Ensure all appropriate information is collated and forwarded
  • Ensure all administration work associated with business operations are accurate and delivered in an agreed timescale
  • Running of reports from multiple systems and analysing the data to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure all administration work associated with business operations are accurate and delivered in an agreed timescale
  • Raise a manage purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures
  • Liaise with the accounts department to resolve queries
  • Ensure all weekly and monthly financial information is made available and is accurate and on time
  • Assist and cover all weighbridge requirements in the absence of any member of the team, including holidays, sickness and occasional weekend cover.
  • Any other adhoc duties as requested
  • Previous experience in the waste sector and associated administration functions
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and able to use own initiative
  • Ability to work within a team and create a strong team work ethic
