Senior Health Care Assistant

Pure Care Staff is a respected and caring provider of residential care services in the UK.

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our residents.

You will work closely with our nursing and care staff to deliver person-centred care, support daily activities, and promote a safe and nurturing environment for our residents.

Previous use of EMAR is is required as the home uses an automated system for medication.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Administer medications in accordance with care plans and guidelines.

Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring residents' health and well-being.

Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships.

Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Oversee and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and care plans.

Report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing team promptly.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and improvement efforts.

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

Previous use of EMAR is required

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a residential care setting.

Medication administration training.

Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
