DNA Recruit are working with a sensational award winning, large scale events venue who are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Head of Events who will lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences that inspire, from both an operationaland commercial perspective The role will oversee a hugely talented team who deliver all operational and logístical aspects of some fantastic large scale and smaller experiences, always looking to exceed client expectations.

Unusually, weekend work is a rarityfor this role and although you will need flexibility with your working hours, the majority of these large events are daytime events.


Main Responsibilities:


We are looking for someone who is a true team player, a hands on leader and mentor with the skill to grow and develop teams across event operations.

Working alongside fellow Department Heads from the Sales and Venue Operations functions you will be the face,
eyes and ears of the venue for day-to-day operations.

You will work together to ensure the business is operating with best practice in mind, optimising all opportunities whilst minimising risk.

You must be a 'doer' as well as a 'thinker'.

The events team deliver end to end operational planning and delivery of around 100 small to large scale events per year, of up to 2000 attendees for a wide range of events and clientele, ranging from corporate events, conferences, meetings, consumer shows,product launches and fashion shows.

You will chair/attend department, inter-department and Client meetings to ensure the client experience is delivered. Driving quality improvements and deliver an operational framework that is best in class. Ensuring you uphold industry and venue standards (includingbut not limited to H&S, security, NPS)

You will lead the management and delivery of all departmental projects and review, draft and update new operational procedures in line with changing best practice and legislation.

The perfect person will be an enthusiastic leader with a proven track record in managing, growing and inspiring teams, who is happy to jump in on all levels of project - from working on various events through to leading departmental projects.

Previous experience in a high volume, large scale venue would be a bonus but not completely essential, as long as you have a solid understanding of delivering large scale events within a venue.

You will be commercially minded with a solid understanding of health& safety, event operations and project delivery.
