The Role
This role is a month temporary position to provide cover for maternity leave.


The scope of the role is to provide a professional EHSS service in support of SABIC UK's Manufacturing Organization such that EHSS standards are maintained, improved and in compliance with statutory requirements and company (OMS/SHEMS) standards.

The successful candidate will lead a range of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Providing the primary EHSS contact and day to day support for Senior Manager, Operations, S18 & WEC (LDPE & Ethylene Logistics) capable of critical challenge to support assessment and management of Process Safety, and other EHSS risks.
  • Monitoring the implementation and compliance with SHEM 11/OMS 319 (SABIC Emergency Planning & Response standard).
  • Maintaining effective internal & external networks, including regulatory authorities, and the 3rd Party Emergency Response & Security Service Providers.
  • Ensure the 3rd Party Emergency Response & Security Service Providers submit agreed performance data to enable SABIC KPI reporting.
  • Ensuring key EHSS related activities and elements of the EHSSQ & WFD Functional Improvement Plan continue to progress.
Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will possess following attributes:

  • A professional EHS qualification e.
g. Preferably NEBOSH Diploma, but minimum NEBOSH Certificate.
-5 years' experience of working on a High Hazard plant, with a good understanding of Safe Systems of Work.

  • Provide visible EHSS leadership for the whole workforce in all workplaces, setting high standards and providing constructive challenge.
  • Good communication, influencing and organizational skills.
  • An ability to promote collaboration across organizational boundaries.
  • Fluence in English (both written and verbal)
