We are seeking an Apprentice trained, Shift Engineer with an electrical bias to support the ongoing maintenance, Breakdowns, fault finding, improvement, and development of site plant and services.

As the Shift Engineer you will be working through scheduledmaintenance, responding to breakdowns, conducting installation works, performing continuous improvement activities and contributing to site projects.

We are seeking an accomplished Shift Engineer able to allocate work to and supervise others.

You will have responsibility for 2 Engineers on your shift so we are looking for an individual with previous supervision and team motivation skills You will be contributingto the development of your team and ensuring safe working practices while working in a "hands on" capacity.

The role would could be a good opportunity for an experienced electrical Maintenance Engineer to step into a supervisory position or for an experiencedMaintenance Team leader who is looking to build a long term progressive career

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • The daily organising and allocation of work duties for you and your team, ensuring resource is fully utilised.
  • Ensuring the delivery of required preventative maintenance schedules and managing responses to equipment failures and breakdowns.
  • Supervising, supporting, coaching, and mentoring a team of 2 Engineers.
  • With your team supporting site project and installation work as required as well as supporting the Project Engineering team on major projects

What will you bring to the role?

  • A multiskilled Engineer with an electrical skills bias. An apprentice trained Electrical Engineer with an Electrical NVQ / HNC qualification would be great
  • Some knowledge of PLC and instrumentation equipment would be an advantage however you will be supported by a site C&I specialist.
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing environment working to TPM principles.
