Spire Methley Park is now recruiting an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join their warm and friendly team.

Spire Methley Park Hospital is recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Scrub OPD or Nurse to join our high performing Theatre Team. This your opportunity to join one of the UK's leading private hospitals and take your career to the next level.

Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. At Spire Methley Park Hospital caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in our modern, well-equipped hospital for all of our patients

Duties and responsibilities:

Working as part of this friendly and supportive team you can expect to assist patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures including ENT, neurological, orthopaedic, laparoscopic, ophthalmic, gynaecology and urology.

  • Prepare the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Perform anaesthetic duties

Who we're looking for:

  • You will be a HCPC registered ODP or an NMC registered Nurse with an Anaesthetic module.
  • It is also desireable to have at least 2 years experience
  • Ideally, you will have ALS or ILS however training & courses can be offered.
  • Excellent communication and organisation is key to continue our high standards of patient care.
