The iGaming industry is fiercely competitive, with small businesses facing off against huge corporations in the battle for new players.nOur technology provides ourselves and our trusted partners with tailored, data-driven solutions that level the playing field.nAs our new Software Development Manager, you will be part of our development team, working closely with colleagues in product management and marketing.nYou will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer and be focused on managing and measuring the company's development projects and resources.nYou will plan and implement strategies for new and existing products in development, ensuring releases are developed to specification, on time, to budget and within quality limits.nAlthough you will be leading a team, it is essential that you have hands-on experience as a developer and with project management.


Responsibilities:


Manage the delivery of software products through the entire development lifecycle to release.nEnsure the team has appropriate product and technical specifications and resources to deliver products effectively.nEstablish realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet hard deadlines.nManage resources for current projects and future pipeline.nMonitor individual employees' performance and identify and address training and development needs.nAct as the central point of contact for other departments on development project statuses, including reporting on progress and status against plan to the Product Manager and Senior Management when required.nOversee release management/version control and ensure release notes for each version are documented.

Ensure version control of documentation is tied in with software versions.nImplement and improve software development and product development processes, practices, and tools.

Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables.nServe as an adviser and influencer for software and product development methods across the organization.


nOwn the full project life cycle:

successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.nProvide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead development team members to their optimum performance.

Hire and train new software developers.nAssess, record, and mitigate risks and dependencies to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and budget adherence.nPresent reports defining project progress, problems, solutions, evaluations, and assessments of results.


The Ideal Candidate:


Meticulous with exceptional attention to detail.nExperience in project managing large projects and/or a portfolio of multiple projects simultaneously.nPrevious experience in the iGaming industry (preferred).nOutstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to detect and avoid potential issues threatening to delay timelines or impact operations.nHigh sense of responsibility, a can-do attitude, and the ability to use initiative to manage on a day-to-day basis.nAble to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and influence decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.nExperience working with teams that use automated deployments and scalable architectures.nUnderstanding the importance of automating deployments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and the benefits they bring in terms of efficiency and scalability.

JIRA, Confluence, GitHubnContainerization and automation tools, Docker, Github WorkflowsnCloud services: Amazon AWS, KubernetesnFrontend frameworks like ReactnContent management systems: WordPress, GhostnJava and Relational Databases

Team Growth:
Our team has grown recently to 10 developers and is expected to grow further this year.
