To both facilitate that growth, and replace a departing Finance Manager, we are now looking for a talented Financial Controller to support the Company through the challenges ahead.


The Opportunity


This key position joins a well-established, trusted and experienced team and will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transaction processing onto Sage Accounting Software.


Working closely alongside the Executive Administrator, and potentially in due course, a newly recruited Financial Controller, the role reports directly to, and will have assistance from, the CFO.

Technical knowledge and financial competencies - Requirements of the role

  • Experience in Sage accounting software.
  • Strong administrative skills with an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to prioritise, work autonomously and be proactive as required.
  • Possess a commercial acumen and be prepared to challenge and improve existing processes.

Activities/Responsibilities - typical activities and deliverables of the role

  • Work with the Executive Administrator for the timely processing of client billing and payment of colleagues' expenses and onward posting to the ledgers.
  • Processing and checking of the general ledger accounts including:
  • Expenses
  • Purchase invoices
  • Sales invoices
  • Bank transactions and reconciliations
  • Accruals
  • Prepayments
  • Depreciation
  • Ensure consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all ledgers and accounts.
  • Liaison with the CFO and Callidus' outsourcing payroll and pension providers, ensuring timely and accurate processing and payment.

There will be a two-stage interview process, the first of which will take place online via Teams at a mutually convenient time which can be evening or weekend if necessary.

Second interviews will be with both the CFO and MD in Callidus' offices.
