About You:
You will be part of the busy Contracts and Commercial Services team undertaking multi million-pound projects throughout our estates across the city

Your duties will include:

  • The installation of Rockwool (or similar) to the loft spaces to dwellings within SCC housing portfolio, this could include new work or top ups to existing insulation to a depth of 300mm
  • Monitoring of materials used
  • Logging of job information to ensure the correct work is recorded,
  • Correct completion of a site installation certificate.
  • Regular collections of stock from Travis Perkins (or their preferred supplier).
  • Regular briefings from your team manager
  • HR and H&S briefings.
  • Relevant training to maintain compliance as necessary.
  • Flexibility in working arrangements
  • Customer/client liaison.
  • Completion of KPI's
  • Regular vehicle checks including vehicle cleanliness.
  • Upholding the high standards of Housing Operations
Experience and knowledge in this field is a must.


You will need a full driving licence in order to drive our vehicles and will also be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.

As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines.

Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a 'can do' attitude is all essential as you'll be our ambassador when you visit our customers' homes to carry out repairs and installations to the highest of standards You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role.

Organisational, customer service, time management and physical skills are key to this role.

You will work 37-hour week plus an additional 2 hours TOIL (Time Off in Lieu).

The TOIL equates to 12 days annual leave year, in addition to your basic entitlement of 25 days annual leave per year (not including bank holidays).

This leave increases to 28 days after you have completed 5 years of continuous service. Other employee benefits range from childcare vouchers and discounted travel to money off at selected restaurants, shops and salons.
