Work Placement Officer:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Weymouth College.

This role will be delivering the work experience curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, including innovative use of digital technology (Grofar).

The aim of the work placement role is to effectively source and secure work experience placements for full-time learners.

You will engage with employers, curriculum areas and full-time learners, to ensure that the preparation, delivery and evaluation of work placements are meaningful, relevant and sustained to a high quality and ensure that learners are well prepared.


Developing student employability skills is a key aspect of the role and you will be supporting students to gain their DBS and work placement, organising assessments and action planning of work-related activities ensuring all work is recorded on Grofar.

We are always looking for ways to improve the work experience provision, ensuring it is relevant and student-focused. Your ability to relate to a diverse student population and act as a role model will be key.
