Teacher Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our partnered SEMH School. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experiened Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a genuine interest in special education to make a positive impact in the lives of our students. CPD and any specific training and inductions will be completed throughout your placement.

Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of students with SEN. Specifically SEMH and Autism / ADHD.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized education plans (PEPs) and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and social-emotional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and wellbeing.

Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with recent experience working within a SEN setting.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) status or willingness to undertake an ECT induction programme.
  • Strong understanding of SEN frameworks, including knowledge of various learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with SEN.
