Cover Supervisor


If you have ever thought about teaching but not sure whether it was quite for you, the cover supervisor role may well be for you.

Covering lessons within secondary schools and ensuring students are learning and adhering to school policies.

This is a brilliant entry point into teaching, understand what is required of a teacher and a day in the life of a school, gain experience and build a wider educational network.


  • Tradewind are looking to recruit a graduate based near High Wycombe to work on a Ad-Hoc basis (flexible working). Offering a superb learning environment for students the applicant will have a passion to educate students and make a difference in their education experience. This role will ask you to cover lessons, all lesson plans are given prior to your shift start. You will be confident and well spoken in the English language and have a want to make a difference in young people's lives._

Cover Supervisor - supporting pupils in Key Stage 3 and some 4

Various Schools in the High Wycombe area, working on a flexible basis giving us your availability week by week

Immediate start with a Permanent contract on offer for July 2023 or Earlier start date if available

Ongoing CPD offered by Tradewind on a monthly basis

About the School - Cover Supervisor
This role is a brilliant way to open an entrance into a fruitful career in teaching.

As a cover supervisor you will be required to cover classes and monitor students, ensuring they are adhering to school policies and following the work.

You will be assigned 5 schools in your local area and on any of your available days you will go to one of your assigned schools, you will not be expected to ever travel more than an hour but will from time to time have to wait until the morning for a booking, the nature of the job means you may be covering sick/unwell/unavailable teachers.


Role requirements

  • UK Education experience and degree educated (Ideally)
  • Driver, given the nature of the job you must have a Full UK licence and access to your own car
  • Youth work, tuition or voluntary experience desired
  • Be able to interview ASAP and start in January 2023 or sooner if desired.
  • A bright and positive attitude and the ability to lead by example
