The Community Impact Initiative C.I.C. is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation committed to the regeneration, improvement, and sustainability of our communities.
Operating across South Wales, we deliver a wide range of community projects to support vulnerable people from difficult backgrounds:

  • We provide commercial construction services (Cii Construction), and in doing so, provide work placements for some of those who have accessed our skill development projects.
  • We run projects that support people to improve their health and wellbeing, build their confidence, learn new skills, achieve qualifications, and make positive life improvements through the renovation of empty properties.
  • We provide temporary accommodation and housing for vulnerable people through our partnerships with local authorities.
  • We return empty properties to the housing market, improving the living standards of our communities, and providing an affordable and effective solution to the housing and empty property issues of Wales.

Role:
Cii Construction Multi-Skill Tradesperson


Working closely with our Head of Operations and commercial team, you will be responsible for carrying out multi-skill duties for a wide range of our commercial and domestic partners across South Wales.


You will ensure that tasks are completed to an exceptional standard, whilst demonstrating excellent communication skills, professionalism, and politeness to all staff and customers.


The key duties of the role are:

  • Complete a wide range of multi-skill jobs.
  • Liaise with our Head of Operations to ensure jobs are scheduled accurately and completed to agreed timescales.
  • Support project participants to develop skills through short work placements.
  • Liaise with our Engagement & Wellbeing Officer to provide updates on work placement effectiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all jobs completed.
  • Provide excellent standards of advice, guidance, and support to Apprentices and those on work placements.
  • Be responsible for the safety and welfare of partners and staff.

Person Specification:

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be an experienced and qualified multiskill tradesperson.
  • Have experience of completing jobs on their own and as part of a team.
  • Have a professional and positive outlook.
  • Have strong communication skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of partners and customers.
  • Have a full UK driving license.
  • Experience of supporting apprentices would be desirable.
