My client, a well established Manufacturer are looking to recruit a HR Manager / Executive on a part time permanent basis.


Based in the picturesque Penryn they are happy for you to be on site as little or as often as you like.

Although the role can therefore be predominately home based, you will need to live in commutable distance to Penryn as there will be times you will berequired on site.

This role is Part time, to work c20-24 hours per week. How those hours are constructed however is completely up to you; if you would like to do 4 hours over 5 days, or perhaps 3 full days, the choice is yours


Your daily responsibilities will be providing support and guidance to the business line managers and advising on all HR enquires when required whilst managing the day-to-day operational HR duties.


Responsibilities include:

  • Take autonomy of the employee relation cases across the business and support Managers.
  • Act as business ethics champion.
  • Ensure the business is up to date with employment law.
  • Work closely with finance guiding with salaried payroll information.
  • Work closely as and when required with external legal team.
  • Monitor absence and attendance across the business.
  • Support with the full recruit to retire cycle including the preparation of offer letters, contracts, conduct eligibility to work in the UK checks and coordinate administration of the new starter and leaver process.
  • Oversee recruitment process.
  • Complete yearly audits on HR documentation in line with ISO9001 requirements.
  • Take lead on project work such as employee benefits initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in HR management.
  • CIPD Qualified Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Set up a formal HR function from ground up is desirable
