We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our dedicated team in our residential care home in Pontardawe.
This is an 18hrs per week position, with 3 x 6 hr shifts (6.5hrs with break included) 9am-3.30pm per rota.

This service is the home of 40 residents, all with individual personalities and different support needs including some with dementia.
What is the role?
As a Domestic or Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Care Home, following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations are adhered to.

A great part of this job is actively engaging residents in conversation and having meaningful interactions with them about their lives and experiences.
What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working within a care environment, or cleaning or laundry is desirable but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
