Overview


2fawcett are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a company located in Halifax on a permanent, full time basis.


Our client is well established in the construction industry and you will be joining a small, friendly office and accounts team.

As the finance assistant you will be reporting directly into the Finance Director and responsible for maintaining and supporting the accounts function

The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:

  • Raising and placing orders
  • Ensure all invoices are authorised
  • Record all purchases and purchase ledger and match with purchase orders
  • Manage all invoice queries
  • Match invoices to delivery notes
  • Reconcile supplier payments to purchase ledger
  • Check monthly statements
  • Check monthly asset codes for review
  • Review weekly salary deductions
  • Produce weekly job costings
  • Reconcile net wages, PAYE, credit card and petty cash monthly
  • Follow month end check for preparation
  • Maintain the reception area
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Ad hoc administration tasks
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of computer accounting packages
  • Previous use of Xero is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Up to £24,000.00 per year
