The Enrichment Lead puts that Service User at the centre of holistic care, tailoring care plans and the way in which care is delivered to enable them to experience a service which promotes journey led practice.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
NVQ LEVEL 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards this.
1 Years previous experience in a leadership Role within a Care Setting
On-call Availability on a Rota Basis
To work as the Enrichment Lead enabling the facilitation of the Innova House philosophy of Enrichment and person centred Journeys and care whilst promoting enablement and person centred relationship with service users and providing a safe stimulating and healthy environment to live in.
The role ensures that the journey of the service user is achieved through meeting aims set out in the individuals care plan and to meet SMART targets/ AIMS identified.
To enhance and strengthen the organisations quality assurance to ensure it is well prepared to meet external regulatory inspection and requirements using auditing and action planning systems in line with relevant regulations.
Ensuring the staff are happy so the business can run smoothly, you'll organise and delegate their workload as well as monitoring them to make sure it's done correctly.
2.0 Line management
Responsible to the Care Manager and Assistant manager
To directly supervise the duties of Support Workers, acting as part of the management team responsible for daily operations.
3.0 Key responsibilities
3.1 Give physical and psychological care to each service user, following their Care Plan
3.2 Always working in ways that promote the service user's rights, privacy, dignity, choices and independence.
3.3 To protect all service users from physical and psychological abuse through robust safeguarding procedures.
3.4 Provide practical support and emotional encouragement to enable service users to participate in the planning and decision making at Innova House.
3.5 Participate, supervise, help and innovate a wide variety of internal and external
day service activities ensuring at all times that they are safe, relevant and meaningful.
3.6 To take a lead role in the preparation, review and revision, implementation and
evaluation of service users Care plan and maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date records as required. To ensure that these are implemented reviewed and revised as
prescribed.
3.7 To communicate relevant service user information to colleagues. To promote, enforce and understand the issues around service user information confidentiality.
3.8 To effectively communicate and develop supportive working relationships with
other members of the Innova House and multi-disciplinary team.
3.9 To ensure all duties are performed with due regard to Health and Safety, Infection Control, Moving and Handling and all other evidence based good practice.
3.10 To work alongside support workers to ensure a high standard of care is practiced by role modelling, example, leading and motivating in accordance with the Innova House Policies and Procedures, providing "on-the-job training."
3.11 To assist the management to keep the premises clean tidy, heated and maintained.
3.12 To take responsibility for implementing emergency procedures and to promote
safety compliance.
3.13 To assist colleagues with their Innova House induction training programmes,
practical skills based training, distance learning and NVQ programmes.
3.14 To work on a rota basis as requested.
3.15 To provide managerial cover in the absence of the Care Manager or Assistant manager
3.16 To implement the duty rota to facilitate the needs of the service users, sourcing cover for all shifts and ensuring that skill mix is appropriate for the service
3.17 To attend and participate in work related statutory training, to up-date skills and
care practice and self-development through further study, courses and
supervision.
3.18 To participate in multi-disciplinary reviews and work with all other external
agencies and multi-disciplinary team.
3.19 Being active in ensuring the process for Team Briefing is effective in respect of
staffing resources, free flow of information, time and risk management and
professionalism.
3.20 To promote communication with other members of staff, service users and others in enhancing the reputation of Innova House.
3.21 To be active and enabling during staff and service user meetings. Suggesting ideas to improve the service offered by Innova House and developing them.
3.22 Ensuring the competency in the progression of champion systems and to ensure that the champion system is being met by each champion through auditing, reviewing, mentoring and supervising.
