Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Commercial Manager with a solid construction background to join our team. The Commercial Manager will oversee the commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring financial control, contract management, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management:
    • Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
    • Manage contract variations and claims.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
    • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering.
    • Monitor project cash flow and invoicing.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
    • Ensure adherence to risk management policies.
  • Procurement:
    • Oversee the procurement process and negotiate favorable terms.
    • Manage subcontractors and suppliers selection.
  • Project Planning and Control:
    • Collaborate with project managers on commercial aspects.
    • Monitor project performance against objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Resolve commercial issues promptly.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management.
    • Provide insights based on financial analysis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of commercial management experience in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts like JCT, NEC, FIDIC.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and financial tools.
  • Professional certifications such as MRICS, MCIOB are a plus.
