Job Description:

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic professional looking to specialize in ADHD within a supportive CAMHS team? We are seeking a Band 6 ADHD Senior Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Kendal. This locum position offers a rewarding opportunity to work Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive pay rate of £25 per hour.

As an ADHD Senior Practitioner, you will provide expert care and management for children and adolescents with ADHD. Your role will involve comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough ADHD assessments for children and adolescents.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized care and treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and support.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Offer advice, consultation, and training to colleagues and other agencies.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate professional registration.
  • Experience: Significant experience working within CAMHS and with ADHD cases.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment: Dedication to improving the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents with ADHD.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a diverse caseload effectively.
