The target customer base includesmanufacturing sites, critical healthcare facilities, distribution centres, retail, infrastructure and public sector sites.

Role Description


They are looking for a skilled test engineer to be responsible for testing product functionality to specification and to ensure that the product meets stringent quality and safety requirements.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Testing transformers
  • Testing voltage optimisation systems
  • Testing BESS systems with UPS capability
  • Error state reporting and faultfinding feedback
  • Operate machinery as required
  • Use initiative and experience to problem solve
  • Working of overtime as required to support business needs

Skills, experience, education
The successful Test Engineer will have some previous electrical testing experience. You can come from any electrical background and relevant qualifications will be considered. Those with a knowledge of transformers and high/low voltage, Single/3-Phase arehighly desired, although those without will be considered.

  • Experience of working with transformers, ideally from an integration and test perspective with experience of CSA, IEEE, ANSI and IEC transformer standards
  • Experience of wiring and testing Wiring Panels, with the ability to follow schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Engineering/Electrical qualification such as C&G or ONC/HNC in an electrical discipline
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection and Testing 239
  • Experience working with systems up to 11KVA
  • Knowledge of UPS Systems high energy storage systems
  • Knowledge of 3Phase Systems; installations, fault finding and test
  • Ability to fault find electrical and electronic systems
  • Experience of operating heavy machinery and machine work
  • Experience of safe working practices and Health and Safety requirements
  • FLT licence desirable but not essential
  • Manual handling
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
