Responsibilities:

  • Create delicious dishes following the recipe sheet
  • Know all menu items by heart
  • Manage production to minimize wastage
  • Keep food levels consistent during service
  • Maintain high food quality and brand standards
  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards as per Aramark requirements
  • Record all food consumption and production levels
  • Help with shift opening and closing checklists
  • Share ideas for improvements with the management
  • Train new team members on kitchen tasks
  • Attend necessary training sessions
  • Occasionally assist with back and front of house tasks as needed
  • Chef staff should wear long sleeve chef jackets and non-slip shoes

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a kitchen assistant, commis chef, or similar role
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Great communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and a love for food
  • Flexible availability for different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
