Alpha Matica is seeking talented Agentic, Generative AI, and Machine Learning Engineers to join our team.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in software engineering, data engineering and machine learning engineering, with practical experience in Generative AI and Agent implementation.n​nThese contractor associate roles offer a competitive daily rate determined by the level of experience and skills the candidate possesses.

These roles are UK-based.

​n​Responsibilitiesn​nIdentify use cases for GenAI and ML within the organization.nCollect and process data to be used as input into Generative models.nIntegrate organizational data into pre-trained models using techniques such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and retrieval fine-tuning.nWork with vector databases and vector embeddings.nDeploy, serve, and monitor Machine Learning and Generative AI models.nImplement Agentic procedure and process.nBuild web applications and user interfaces to allow users to interact with models.nResearch existing solutions in the market.nDevelop guidance and standards for deploying AI applications.nCoach and upskill colleagues in Generative AI and software engineering.n​n​n​Requirementsn​nExperience of building and deploying end-to-end web applications using cloud technologiesn5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a similar role.nProficient in Python.nKnowledge of AI and Machine Learning, with a focus on Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).nKnowledge of how to integrate data into pre-trained Generative AI models using techniques such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning, using libraries such as Langchain, LlamaIndex and Hugging Face, and cloud-based tools such as AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI or Azure AI Platform.nKnowledge and experience of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques such as text embeddings and an understanding of how different data representations can affect model performance.nExperience working with vector databases, e.g. Pinecone.nKnowledge of modern software engineering best practices e.g. test-driven development, CI/CD, containerisation, KubernetesnKnowledge of MLOps / LLMOps, including model deployment, serving, and monitoring.nExperience working in an Agile environment.n​nAt Alpha Matica, we are staunch advocates of diversity and firmly committed to ensuring equal opportunities for employment.
