With a passion for talent acquisition and the confidence to advise and influence colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, you will lead on digital and or corporate service recruitment strategies to resource Social Security Scotland's portfolio of diverse branches.


This is a highly visible role and the role holder will need to be able to share and display an expert understanding of talent acquisition and an in-depth knowledge of the business areas they are partnering with, as well as acting as an ambassador for Social Security Scotland's Talent Acquisition approach internally and externally.

The Resourcing Team is part of the wider People Services HR function within Social Security Scotland.

Its principle role is to lead the recruitment of staff into the organisation to enable Social Security Scotland to deliver the benefits it has promised to the people of Scotland.

Hybrid Working


Our current way of working is by a hybrid working approach, where colleagues will be expected to use a mix of office based and remote working (working from home) depending on the requirements of the role.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading collaboration across the key stakeholder communities to identify and define talent gaps.
  • Implementing appropriate sourcing strategies, highlighting market conditions and talent attraction opportunities
  • Providing the business with key external market insight via highly developed data insights presentations
  • Creating networks and talent pools in new and existing markets for desirable skill sets through sourcing and relationship building
  • Developing compelling advertisements for open positions, ensuring consistency across all postings
  • Working with our outreach partners to maximise our reach and invigorate our employer brand
  • Working with Finance, HR Business partners and Workforce Planning colleagues to deliver organisational strategic objectives

Qualifications:
No specific qualifications are required for this post, however the following experience will be beneficial:

  • Have knowledge and experience of successfully recruiting to specialist roles, preferably digital or corporate, using social media and other direct sourcing pathways
  • Have experience of headhunting in a direct sourcing recruitment model
  • Have excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with various stakeholders, including managers, recruitment agencies, and others
  • Experience of driving strategies and implementing improvement to processes
  • Experience of analysing resourcing data, understanding trends and translating findings to hiring managers and senior leaders, influencing strategically and tactically.
  • Knowledge of various technology platforms and digital talent solutions and comfortableness with how to leverage technology to drive talent success.
  • Ability to effectively navigate across different organizational boundaries globally and work in a crossfunctional team environment.
