Role Overview: They are looking for an experienced and motivated Civil/Groundworks Manager to oversee and manage groundworks and civil engineering projects in Glasgow. This role is crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise civil engineering and groundworks activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
- Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers towards project goals.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.
- Resolve on-site issues or conflicts promptly.
- Provide project updates and reports to senior management regularly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Civils/Groundworks Manager in a main contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering and groundworks processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
