HR Generalist with German language or with previous HR Generalist for German market experience is required. This is a 3-month contract role with the opportunity for a permanent hire.

The company is an AI data advertising agency located in the City (Liverpool Street) offering a salary of up to £55k pro-rata.

This HR Generalist will oversee the London office of 66 employees, the German office of 25 employees, and manage 15 individuals across Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Office management duties for the London office are included. The company is transitioning from start-up to a more corporate structure, with an international presence spanning 17 offices globally, making it an exciting time to join.


HR Generalist requirements:

  • UK and Germany HR operations experience are essential
  • Prior experience as a standalone HR professional
  • Desirable to have knowledge of the German language or experience in the German HR market

The Regional People Operations Specialist role encompasses all aspects of HR daily operations. Reporting to a Senior Regional Manager based abroad, individuals with confidence, decisiveness, and proactive qualities are sought after. Hybrid working model with a 40-hour week, from 9am to 6pm.
HR Generalist responsibilities:

  • People Operations:
Responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to retirement, overseeing benefits, payroll, and job transitions.

  • Data Management:
Ensuring data accuracy and completeness in People Systems & Employee Records.
  • Process Design:
Designing local/regional processes and policies, ensuring consistent application by teams. Collaborating for global alignment and coherence.
  • Automatization:
Streamlining global people processes with technology and contributing to simplification and operational excellence. Monitoring team KPIs & Project Management.

Compliance:
Knowledgeable about local legislation to navigate employment changes, system updates, policy reviews, and process implementations.

Workplace Budget:
Managing budgets, reviewing actual expenditures, and optimizing resource allocations.

  • Office Management:
Leading rental contracts and overseeing suppliers/contracts related to the office (cleaning, printers, supplies). Organizing Summer and Winter office events.
  • Culture:
Arranging office events to foster employee engagement and sense of belonging. Managing vendors efficiently to control costs.
  • Health and Safety:
Implementing relevant frameworks to ensure workplace safety and compliance with local regulations.
  • Location Strategy:
Understanding markets, locations, and proposing effective solutions for office management.
