HOME CARE WORKER -Permanent Full Time & Part Time. Weekend only shifts available if preferred.

Purpose of Role


To provide a high standard of personal and domiciliary care to our Service Users in their own homes and facilitate their continuing independence and dignity while complying with Home Caring Services homecare policies and procedures and external legislation and codes of conduct.


General - This is a genuine opportunity for anyone who is currently in a caring role or wants to begin a role or career providing quality care and support to our service users. We have current contracts with the local council and two health authorities in the area which means we can absolutely guarantee hours of work. Due to recent changes and improvements in our working practices we are able to offer the best working conditions and highest pay rates including bonus pay rates linked to performance. Hourly pay rate of £11.00 per hour plus mileage allowance of 25p per mile for drivers.

One off £800 signing bonus in addition to hourly pay rate.


We have a small and dedicated management team that fully appreciate and support all our staff to be happy and effective in their roles.

We are pleased to offer a company pension scheme to which we contribute, and a generous mileage payment. We also provide all the assistance needed to claim the maximum mileage payment allowance on behalf of our staff.

Training
As HCS ltd is an "investor in people" employer.

All applicants will be given the opportunity and be expected to undergo a comprehensive training program to obtain all the mandatory training modules as specified by the CQC and be prepared to work towards obtaining a level 2 or 3 diploma in Health and Social care.

All training will be fully supported by our staff to promote your success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To undertake personal care and other domiciliary work in accordance with service users' agreed Care Plans.


2 To promote at all times the six principles of care that underpin the basis of quality care for service users i.e.

Privacy, Dignity, Independence, Choice, Rights, and Fulfilment.

  • To work agreed shifts, and to be flexible where extra cover is required e.g. holiday periods, bank holidays.
  • To work as a member of a team, for individual Service Users, which will be monitored by a supervisor.
  • To attend team meetings on a regular basis_, _to feedback information on the progress of individual service users, their changing needs and circumstances.
  • To ensure the accuracy of recording information, i.e. Care Reports, receipt books, time sheets, mileage sheets
7 To undertake any other reasonably required duty, delegated to you by the Home Care Manager.

  • To undertake all responsibilities according to the policies and procedures documents.
  • To undertake regular training sessions as laid down in the Training Plan.
  • To work towards obtaining relevant qualifications in Health and social Care
  • To comply with Home Caring Services Homecare policies and procedures
  • To maintain an adequate personal supply of disposable gloves, antibacterial hand wash and aprons (available from the office at no cost)
  • To always act as a representative of the company and treat service user's colleagues and management with dignity and respect.

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Practical experience of care of the elderly, people with disabilities, people who have suffered strokes, who suffer from MS, Dementia and other health problems.

  • Experience of dealing with dementia and confusion
