Role Overview:
- As a Sub Agent, you will support the Site Agent in managing different aspects of the construction project at Dounreay Substation.
- You'll be essential in coordinating subcontractors, supervising works packages, and ensuring efficient and high-quality construction activities.
- The project involves a high voltage alternating current (HVAC) transmission system from Finstown in Orkney to Dounreay in Caithness, capable of transmitting at least 220MW of power.
- All accommodation, travel, and subsistence payments will be covered by the contractor.
- Assist the Site Agent in planning and coordinating on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of works packages within budget and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and budgets, addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
- Prepare project documentation adhering to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, daily diaries, photographic records, and as-built drawings to document project activities.
- Required: Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in construction software and tools such as project management software and CAD programs.
