A brand-new department, catering to The Newt's London Ecommerce business. Always focused on creating fresh bakery and pastry products of the highest quality.

Our Senior Baker

Reporting in to our Head Baker, this is the role for an experienced baker who has experience in bread making, yeasted products and is a sourdough specialist with an artisan background.

Our senior baker will also manage a team of more junior bakers, take responsibility for e-commerce daily orders and support the head baker in the development of the bakery.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning daily dough batch/mixes as per the daily order
• Team Management and assigning daily tasks
• Adhere to SOPs and company guidelines
• Order daily ingredients
• Quality assurance
• Health and Safety

Skills and Experience

• Experience working with yeasted doughs
• Experience with breads and pastries including sourdoughs, frenchstyle breads, flat breads, crackers and scones
• Excellent Communication skills
• Team Management
• Experience in a fastpaced work environment
• High Attention to detail
• Understanding of Health and Safety rules
