Send Support Practitioner

We are looking to appoint a passionate, committed and experienced individual to join our team on a Saturday morning at our Fun4All SEND Short Breaks Clubs.

Fun4All is a social activity club for children and young people with severe or moderate learning disabilities.

We want to offer activities and opportunities to these young people to learn new skills, experience new activities, establish and build friendships and pursue their aspirational goals.


What will you get...

  • Up to £12.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Parttime working; Saturdays 8:45am to 1:15pm (approx. 37 Saturdays over the year)
  • To be part of a vibrant and innovative company

  • Opportunities to progress into to further working opportunities at SSG

What you will you do...

  • Support individuals by tending to some physical needs including manual handling or personal care, assisting with activities and stimulate an effective learning environment
  • Work alongside the Team Leader to deliver planned activities to the participants
  • Care for each individual mentally, physically and emotionally
  • Show an enthusiastic and approachable attitude
  • Be proactive and be able to participate in activities alongside the young person

What do you need...

  • Demonstrable experience of working with children and young people with SEND (essential)
  • A passion for working with young people with additional needs and SEND (essential)
  • A strong desire and commitment in promoting disabled children and young people's individual needs, skills and abilities (essential)
  • An interest and/or background in physical activity, sport and activities (desirable)
  • Background checks including references and an an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (essential)
