JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a Subsea Project Engineer to be based in our Staines office. The role is likely to involve international travel to visit client offices and contractor facilities.

The ideal candidate will have project engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, project planning, risk management, interfacing with project management, engineering experts, subcontractors and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of one or more subsea led projects, throughout all project stages using a common process.
  • Review contractor developed schedules to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule
  • Identify contractor delivery related risks and ensure these risks are managed and mitigated using common project processes
  • Work with Project Delivery Managers to mitigate contractor delivery related risks
  • Coordinate support from contractors to resolve schedule critical interfaces.
  • Reports on delivery status and recommends and implements remedial actions as needed.
  • Implements and manages the project risk processes.

  • Experience of supporting and delivering subsea projects from FEED, through detail design construction, installation and commissioning.
  • Bachelor's Engineering degree is required (Mechanical or Subsea preferred)
  • Relevant experience supporting subsea projects in the oil and gas industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and work in a developed team
  • Internally motivated, with demonstrated time-management and organisational skills
  • Proficient in the use of scheduling software (P6, MS Project)
