You are probably working for a car/light commercial dealership or independent workshop and you want more, want to be challenged and to feel valued as part of a successful team, where someone says "thank you" for your work.


We are a small, growing caravan/motorhome dealership, starting in 2012 we now help over 1,000 customers with their caravans, motorhomes and campervans.

Ideally you already have experience working on Fiat Ducato, Ford transit, and Mercedes Sprinter size vehicles.

You have City & Guilds or similar qualifications.


This role will suit a Vehicle Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter who wishes to transfer to a warm, dry, clean, well lite workshop with free tea & coffee.

The role will include a wide variety of duties including:
Assisting the team by carrying out service and repair work to a high standard.
Motorhome Engine/Chassis service & repairs
Campervan Engine/Chassis service & repairs
Cambelt replacement
Air Con, diagnosis, repairs, re-gas
12v diagnosis, repairs, installation
Warranty, diagnosis, repairs
Fault diagnosis to vehicle systems and equipment as needed.
Accessory installation, Levelling, solar panels, motor movers, bike racks, awnings, reverse cameras and TV aerials, motorhome towbars, lithium batteries.
MOT failure repairs.
Estimating time and parts required to complete repairs.

You will be able to:
Follow instructions and use initiative to overcome complications.
Use technology to record and report service items, faults, repairs correctly to ensure compliance and audit trail.
Promote and maintain good relations with customers, maintaining standards and the good image of the company.
Provide telephone & face-to-face technical support to customers when required.
Demonstrate completed work to customers.
Comply with all aspects of health and safety good practice.
Attend workshops and training as and when required.

You understand that a workshop role is based on selling time.
A can adopt a flexible approach to your work.
You have excellent problem solving skills.

You are stable under pressure, react well to change, stay positive despite setbacks, remain keep calm and collected in challenging situations.

Able to work as part of a team.
Able to adapt to the company's needs in the way we deliver our service.
Reliable and take pride in the quality of your work.
You must hold a full, current, "clean" UK Driving license.
You must have your own hand tools.
Languages - must be fluent in English and be able to write competently.

IT - You must be able to use company systems / tablets / PC to capture data, report and communicate within the team, to suppliers and customers.

Excellent verbal communication skills - have the ability to convey information verbally to fellow team members and customers.

Ideally:
You have current or previous experience as a Level 3 Mechanic.
Preferably 3 years' experience.
City & guilds Service engineers' qualification.

In the first instance we are looking for a fully skilled technician who can "hit the ground running".

Hours of work are full time. Flexibility will be required around busier times of the year.
The salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Package

This role has a current OTE (opportunity to earn) £34,000/Yr.

Based on basic salary, bonus and overtime.

Benefits: 28 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays), Govt. Pension, Free branded uniform, free parking.
