The Compliance Specification Technologist will play a key role in ensuring that the company's food products adhere to all relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry specifications.

This role involves a combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with other teams to guarantee the production of safe and compliant food products.


What you will do:

  • Stay updated on and interpret national food safety regulations in order to ensure that our foodtogo products meet all relevant regulatory requirements, including labelling, packaging, and nutritional information
  • Review and analyse technical specifications related to food production processes, ingredients, and packaging
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, product safety data and compliance certificates
  • Liaise with customers to ensure compliance with customer standards and requirements
  • Work closely with product development, quality assurance, procurement, and production teams to integrate compliance considerations into the entire food manufacturing process
  • Provide guidance on compliance requirements to relevant teams and assist with ingredient and product queries
  • Support the quality team with processes specific to food safety
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and address potential compliance gaps in food manufacturing

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry
  • Indepth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
  • An internal auditing qualification is essential
  • Experience of retailer specifications and systems, along with retailer artwork
  • Experience of managing the process of artwork approval
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
